FURNITURE
ROCHESTER, UK
2013
This design project was carried out to primarily seek ways to tackle the problem of cultural practices and identity loss. A carefully managed and well-crafted design process was carried out resulting in furniture items imbued with meaning. The traditional Igbo Uli cultural expression, an age long art form of painting recognizable motifs on compound walls and the body formed the epicenter of this experiment.
