Art Ova Yap

I co-curated and exhibited at Art Ova Yap; A Pyrates Show. This pioneer touring annual art exhibition will curate themes around advocacy (‘Artvocacy’). The platform presents art at the intersection of art, advocacy, and identity in Nigeria’s contemporary cultural space. It will host artist residencies for Art students & postgraduates.

The inaugural showcase highlighted the themes of Artvocacy, Humanity, and Egalitarianism, curating a cultural intervention that featured the works of both established and emerging artists that are active members of the Pyrates Confraternity.

At the heart of this year’s edition lies a special tribute to the late Olu Ajayi — revered as a master of visual storytelling, who gave pictorial form to the ideals of Prof. Wole Soyinka and the Confraternity.
